OUR HISTORY
It all began in 1994, when Mauro Svevi, driven by a desire to get involved, started a business importing bananas from various South American countries, with the aim of distributing them throughout Italy. Thus Banafruit Import Export was born. Mauro's bet turned into a solid project which, over the years, has seen Banafruit evolve and expand its offer, both from a commercial and logistical-organisational point of view, to guarantee its customers the best product and service.
In May 2021, after Mauro's untimely death, management of the company passed to his son, Luca Svevi, and his wife Anna Maria Testini, who have continued along the path taken with determination and passion, keeping the company's family soul alive, but with an eye to the future. Innovation, combined with tradition, has become the driving force behind Banafruit Import Export's continuous expansion.
OUR DAYS
Today, Banafruit Import Export imports a wide range of fruit and vegetables from different countries around the world. We work directly with Costa Rica, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, and Spain, offering fresh, quality products such as Matured Plant Pineapples, citrus fruits, pears, melons, and sweet potatoes.
Our ability to respond to the specific needs of our customers allows us to serve businesses of all sizes: from large and small companies, to retailers, the Ho.Re.Ca. sector and large-scale distribution. Thanks to our capillary and flexible organisation, we can offer a tailor-made service for each partner.
